Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her career in show business at an early age. At the age of 16, she reached the age of sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous TV dramas. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall. This film won an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this beautiful diva. Alexandra's career has seen her participate in several important national and international projects. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
